Keep essential fireplace tools neatly organised and close at hand with our Antique Brass Fireside Companion Set with Ball-Topped Handles. Measuring H40 × W12 × D12cm, this compact 4 piece fireplace tool set combines a warm antique brass finish with classic detailing, making it both a practical fireside accessory and an attractive addition beside a fireplace, wood burner or hearth.
The set includes four essential fire tools: a poker for tending and repositioning fuel, tongs for handling pieces of coal or wood, a brush for sweeping loose ash and debris, and a shovel for collecting it. Each tool hangs individually from the central stand, keeping the complete set together and neatly stored between uses.
The warm antique brass finish gives this companion set an aged character rather than the brighter appearance associated with polished brass. Its understated metallic tone works particularly well alongside cast iron fireplaces, exposed brick hearths, wood-burning stoves and period-style fire surrounds, while also bringing warmth to more contemporary interiors.
Rounded ball-topped handles create a distinctive feature across the upright tools, complemented by the curved handles of the tongs. The brush and shovel hang neatly within the arrangement, allowing the set to remain presentable when it is standing beside the fire and not in use.
Standing 40cm high with a footprint of approximately 12 × 12cm, this fireplace companion set is a useful choice where space around the hearth is limited. The upright design stores all four tools together without requiring wall mounting, while the circular pedestal-style base allows the stand to sit independently on a suitable flat, level surface.
Its compact proportions make it particularly suitable for smaller hearths and fireplaces where a taller or wider set could take up too much room. Before ordering, we recommend measuring the space where you intend to position it and allowing enough room to comfortably remove and replace each tool.
The poker can be used to tend and reposition burning fuel, while the tongs provide additional reach when handling individual pieces of coal or wood. The brush and shovel work together for clearing loose ash and small pieces of debris from around the hearth once the fireplace has cooled, helping to keep the surrounding area tidy.
The complete set measures H40 × W12 × D12cm, including the stand and stored tools. Its 12 × 12cm footprint requires relatively little floor or hearth space, but we recommend checking all three measurements against your available area before ordering. Please use the stated dimensions rather than judging the scale from photographs alone.
Because the tools hang from the stand, it is also worth allowing a little additional clearance around the set so that each one can be lifted out and returned comfortably during use.
Combining four useful fireplace tools in one compact stand helps reduce clutter around the hearth while keeping the items you are most likely to need together in one place. The antique brass finish and decorative handles also give the set enough character to form part of your fireside display rather than needing to be stored away when not in use.
